Who we are
breakupeasy ("we", "us") is a coaching and community brand founded by Kris Kay. For any privacy question, write to us through our contact form. We act as the data controller for the personal data described here.
What we collect
- Contact details you give us — name and email address when you email us, enquire about coaching, or join a waitlist.
- Messages you send us and any information you choose to share in them.
- Technical and usage data — such as browser type, device, approximate location and pages viewed — collected only where analytics or similar cookies are used and you have consented.
We do not ask for special-category data. Please don't send sensitive personal information through the website.
Why we use it and our legal basis
- To answer your enquiries and deliver coaching you request — contract or our legitimate interest in responding to you.
- To send updates you sign up for — your consent, withdrawable at any time.
- To keep the site secure and working — our legitimate interest.
- To understand how the site is used — your consent via the cookie banner.
Third-party services
Some parts of the experience are run by third parties, including our community platform (Skool) and our website hosting provider. When you follow a link to those platforms, their own privacy policies apply. We only share your data with providers who need it to deliver a service to you, and we never sell personal data.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and coaching correspondence for as long as we have an active relationship with you, and afterwards only for as long as needed for legal or accounting purposes. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and UK GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your personal data, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw consent at any time. Contact us through our contact form and we'll respond within one month. If you're in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
International transfers
Our providers may process data outside your country. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top always shows the current version.
